Mental Illness Happy Hour. It’s a podcast. It’s amazing. I read a book once that said something like this: humans are unique, but our problems are not. I think we tend to believe that our problems are so unique to us that no one could possibly understand what we’re going through. That causes us to keep quiet and not really talk about the shit going on in our lives/brains. This is where mental illness happy hour comes into play, if you are struggling with anxiety, depression, body image, PPD, PTSD, trauma from childhood whether it be physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, or eating disorders or all of them there is an episode of this podcast that has someone going through the same thing. It makes you feel less alone in your own head with whatever you have going on. It’s really just selfless work that the host is doing and I sincerely appreciate it.
